La Paz is a city rich in history and culture, making a city tour an excellent option to explore its most emblematic places, such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Government Palace, Murillo Square, San Francisco Church, and many other sites.

The street markets are one of the most popular attractions in La Paz. Here, you can find local and traditional products, such as wool textiles, handicrafts, leather goods, jewelry, as well as typical foods and local beverages.

The Valley of the Moon is an impressive geological formation located a few kilometers from La Paz. Visitors can walk along the trails and explore caves and rock formations.

ITINERARY

Half-day city tour program, 3.5 hours

DAY 1: CITY OF LA PAZ

At 9:00 am (or 2:00 pm), we will pick you up from your hotel to start the tour. The tour begins with a visit to the Witches' Market, where you can appreciate handicrafts and elements for Andean rituals as offerings to "Pachamama" (Mother Earth). We continue by visiting the exteriors of the San Francisco Basilica, the most representative religious temple of Baroque-Mestizo style in Bolivia, and then we head to Murillo Square, where the Legislative Palace, the Government Palace, and the Cathedral are located. After that, we visit Jaén Street, a beautiful and small heritage street that reflects the colonial past of the city.

We continue our tour with a cable car ride in the city to enjoy fantastic panoramic views of La Paz. Finally, we head to the southern part of the city to reach the Valley of the Moon, a natural formation where erosion, clay composition, rain, and wind have created a valley of stalagmites. Return to the hotel.
