The Green Lagoon, the Colorada Lagoon and the hot springs can also be visited during the salt flat tour. Laguna Verde is a beautiful lagoon with green waters located towards the border with Chile and at the foot of the Licancabur volcano. This lagoon is located at an altitude of 4,300 meters above sea level (14,000 feet). Its coloration is due to copper mineral sediments. Laguna Colorada is a lagoon with carmine colored waters, also due to the presence of minerals in its waters. In these lagoons live flamingos creating a unique scene of spectacular beauty! Can you believe it? Flamingos living at that altitude and at those low temperatures!
The magnificent Salar de Uyuni with its 10,582 square km (4,085 square miles) is the largest salt flat in the world. It is located in the department of Potosí in the Southwest of Bolivia, near the Andes and at an altitude of 3,650 meters above sea level.

2 Days 1 Night Program
Day 1: Madidi National Park
8:30 - 9:00 am: Cross from Rurrenabaque to San Buenaventura to pay the entrance fee to Madidi National Park, then embark on a motorboat journey along the Beni River. Individual life jackets will be provided to the tourists, and during the trip, you can observe different landscapes such as the "bala" hill and a variety of birds.
12:30 - 2:00 pm: Arrival and accommodation in the camping area (Ecolodge) located within the territory of the indigenous "TOREWA" people, followed by lunch preparation. Ecolodge "TOREWA" offers a cool environment with good protection against mosquitoes.
3:00 - 6:00 pm: We will leave the camp and head to "CHUCHIOS" to observe different species of medicinal and toxic insects that exist in the region. We will reach a stream (Saocalito) where we will listen to the singing of turkeys, hens, etc. Meanwhile, your guide will provide information about the birds in the area. We will continue along a trail, observing the diversity of palm trees in the region, which usually bear many fruits. There is about a 30% chance of seeing different types of monkeys due to the loud noises they make while searching for food. Their diet consists mainly of insects and fruits.
6:00 - 6:30 pm: Return to the camp where we will have some snacks (coffee, milk, and pastries), followed by dinner.
Day 2:
8:00 - 8:30 am: Breakfast (variety of fruits, pastries, pancakes, coffee, and milk). We will leave the camp in search of "ILIRIA," a plant that serves as a natural link, "SIYAYA," a palm tree with yellow flowers that emits the natural perfume of the forest (used by the natives). We will also look for "SOLIMAN," a highly toxic tree used for hunting, and "BIBOSI," another tree used for hunting. Most of these trees are over 100 years old.
12:00 - 12:30 pm: Return to the "TOREWA" camp for lunch.
1:30 - 6:00 pm: Transfer to the boat to return to Rurrenabaque.

DAY 1: LA PAZ - COPACABANA - ISLAND OF THE SUN - LA PAZ We will pick you up from your hotel between 07:00 and 07:30 hours in a tourist transport bus/van to begin the journey through the vast Altiplano. After a two-hour journey, we will arrive at the narrowest part of Lake Titicaca: the Tiquina Strait, which we will cross in local boats with the locals from the area.
Arrival in the town of Copacabana at 12:00 hours for lunch at a local restaurant. Then, we will embark on privately owned boats operated by the community, our strategic partners, to navigate Lake Titicaca towards the Island of the Sun. On the island, we will visit Yumani, where the "Inca Stairway" leads to the "Fountain of the 3 Waters." Tradition dictates that those who drink from its waters will have eternal life.
After taking some photographs of the lake and the spectacular view of the Cordillera Real, we will return to the boat to go back to Copacabana and explore more of the town, rich in Andean/Christian religious syncretism, where the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Copacabana, the patron saint of Bolivia, is located.
Bus to La Paz at 18:30 hours, arrival at La Paz terminal at approximately 22:00 hours, where our transportation will be waiting to take you to the hotel.
COPACABANA 2 days 1 night from LA PAZ or PUNO
DAY 1: LA PAZ - COPACABANA - ISLAND OF THE SUN 07:00 Hotel pick-up Shared transportation to Copacabana. We depart from La Paz (or Puno) at 3640 meters above sea level and drive to Lake Titicaca (3810 m). We cross the Tiquina Strait in a small boat, the part between the Lesser Lake (Wiñaymarka) and the Greater Lake (Chucuito), to reach the Copacabana Peninsula, where many pre-Columbian terraces can be seen. We arrive at the Hotel Rosario Lago Titicaca. We recommend having lunch at the Kota Kahuaña restaurant (not included). After lunch, we take a motorboat to the Island of the Sun, heading to the southern part of the island. We visit the Pilkocaina temple and walk to the village of Yumani, where we have an impressive view of the lake and the Cordillera Real of the Andes. We descend the sacred stairs and see the sacred fountain of the Incas. Then we return by motorboat to Copacabana, where we spend the night at the Hotel Rosario Lago Titicaca.
DAY 2: COPACABANA - LA PAZ or PUNO Breakfast at the hotel and a walking tour of the town of Copacabana, including the church, the market, and optionally, a hike up Calvario Hill. Shared tourist transportation to La Paz or Puno at 13:00.

La Paz is a city rich in history and culture, making a city tour an excellent option to explore its most emblematic places, such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Government Palace, Murillo Square, San Francisco Church, and many other sites.
The street markets are one of the most popular attractions in La Paz. Here, you can find local and traditional products, such as wool textiles, handicrafts, leather goods, jewelry, as well as typical foods and local beverages.
The Valley of the Moon is an impressive geological formation located a few kilometers from La Paz. Visitors can walk along the trails and explore caves and rock formations.

DAY 1: CITY OF LA PAZ
At 9:00 am (or 2:00 pm), we will pick you up from your hotel to start the tour. The tour begins with a visit to the Witches' Market, where you can appreciate handicrafts and elements for Andean rituals as offerings to "Pachamama" (Mother Earth). We continue by visiting the exteriors of the San Francisco Basilica, the most representative religious temple of Baroque-Mestizo style in Bolivia, and then we head to Murillo Square, where the Legislative Palace, the Government Palace, and the Cathedral are located. After that, we visit Jaén Street, a beautiful and small heritage street that reflects the colonial past of the city.
We continue our tour with a cable car ride in the city to enjoy fantastic panoramic views of La Paz. Finally, we head to the southern part of the city to reach the Valley of the Moon, a natural formation where erosion, clay composition, rain, and wind have created a valley of stalagmites. Return to the hotel.
Potosí is also known as the Imperial Villa of Potosí, this city with a rich colonial history extends to the slopes of a legendary mountain called Sumaj Orcko (El Cerro Rico) that contained the largest silver mine in the world. Declared by UNESCO as Cultural Heritage of Humanity, this is the first official recognition that this international organization made in Bolivia, the city has architectural heritage represented by numerous colonial buildings.
With an architectural system that bares its living history, the Villa Imperial de Potosí still has vestiges of what was one of the most populated cities in the world during part of the 16th century. In it you will have the opportunity to know where and how the first currency for world use was made, the history of its hill full of silver, its beautiful streets, houses, squares, monasteries and churches; and you will be able to enter a huge mine to learn how they work today, what their customs, rituals and beliefs are, and to deeply understand the history of Potosi told by their own workers.

The old mint located in the center of Potosí, this houses a museum dedicated to the art and history of Bolivia.
Plaza 10 de noviembre, a plaza lined with ornate colonial buildings, including the cathedral.
The Cerro Rico de Potosí, the largest silver mine in South America during colonial times. The conquistadors took tons of this precious mineral from there, which was used to finance the Spanish empire. Currently there is no silver left in the mines, but its bowels continue to be exploited to obtain other metals. The rich hill is today a network of corridors, a labyrinth of caves, stairs, wells, which resemble a gigantic anthill that now receives tourist visits.
Museum and Convent of Santa Teresa, The fascinating Monastery of Santa Teresa was established in 1685 and still houses a small group of Carmelite nuns who have elaborated the significant building and transformed part of it into a museum.
