ITINERARY

Full-day program

DAY 1: LA PAZ - COPACABANA - ISLAND OF THE SUN - LA PAZ We will pick you up from your hotel between 07:00 and 07:30 hours in a tourist transport bus/van to begin the journey through the vast Altiplano. After a two-hour journey, we will arrive at the narrowest part of Lake Titicaca: the Tiquina Strait, which we will cross in local boats with the locals from the area.

Arrival in the town of Copacabana at 12:00 hours for lunch at a local restaurant. Then, we will embark on privately owned boats operated by the community, our strategic partners, to navigate Lake Titicaca towards the Island of the Sun. On the island, we will visit Yumani, where the "Inca Stairway" leads to the "Fountain of the 3 Waters." Tradition dictates that those who drink from its waters will have eternal life.

After taking some photographs of the lake and the spectacular view of the Cordillera Real, we will return to the boat to go back to Copacabana and explore more of the town, rich in Andean/Christian religious syncretism, where the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Copacabana, the patron saint of Bolivia, is located.

Bus to La Paz at 18:30 hours, arrival at La Paz terminal at approximately 22:00 hours, where our transportation will be waiting to take you to the hotel.
