Rurrenabaque is a tourist destination in the Amazon region of Bolivia, known for its thrilling adventures in the jungle. Tourists can take boat excursions on the Beni River, spot wildlife, hike through the jungle, and visit indigenous communities. Additionally, accommodations in jungle lodges offer an authentic experience in nature, and the delicious local food is an attraction in itself. The Madidi region is considered one of the richest forests in Bolivia in terms of its flora and possesses one of the most biodiverse protected areas in the world.

ITINERARY

2 Days 1 Night Program

Day 1: Madidi National Park

8:30 - 9:00 am: Cross from Rurrenabaque to San Buenaventura to pay the entrance fee to Madidi National Park, then embark on a motorboat journey along the Beni River. Individual life jackets will be provided to the tourists, and during the trip, you can observe different landscapes such as the "bala" hill and a variety of birds.

12:30 - 2:00 pm: Arrival and accommodation in the camping area (Ecolodge) located within the territory of the indigenous "TOREWA" people, followed by lunch preparation. Ecolodge "TOREWA" offers a cool environment with good protection against mosquitoes.

3:00 - 6:00 pm: We will leave the camp and head to "CHUCHIOS" to observe different species of medicinal and toxic insects that exist in the region. We will reach a stream (Saocalito) where we will listen to the singing of turkeys, hens, etc. Meanwhile, your guide will provide information about the birds in the area. We will continue along a trail, observing the diversity of palm trees in the region, which usually bear many fruits. There is about a 30% chance of seeing different types of monkeys due to the loud noises they make while searching for food. Their diet consists mainly of insects and fruits.

6:00 - 6:30 pm: Return to the camp where we will have some snacks (coffee, milk, and pastries), followed by dinner.

Day 2:

8:00 - 8:30 am: Breakfast (variety of fruits, pastries, pancakes, coffee, and milk). We will leave the camp in search of "ILIRIA," a plant that serves as a natural link, "SIYAYA," a palm tree with yellow flowers that emits the natural perfume of the forest (used by the natives). We will also look for "SOLIMAN," a highly toxic tree used for hunting, and "BIBOSI," another tree used for hunting. Most of these trees are over 100 years old.

12:00 - 12:30 pm: Return to the "TOREWA" camp for lunch.

1:30 - 6:00 pm: Transfer to the boat to return to Rurrenabaque.

Local tour guide, driver, chef (vegetarian meals available), hiking boots, bottled water, first aid kit, full meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Transportation (4x4 vehicle), motorboat, camping equipment (beds, sheets, blankets), bathrooms with showers.

Not included:

The service does not include the entrance fee to Madidi National Park (Bs 100). (The price may vary according to the authorities). The camping does not guarantee the functioning of the showers. Transfer of entry/exit + flights are not included (we can arrange this for you).
